With a passion for creating stories with data, Gabby is consistently rated as one of the top speakers at ADAPT’s events. In roundtable discussions, he specialises in using statistics to initiate thought-provoking discussions. ​

Byron is a highly experienced technology and business journalist, editor, corporate writer, and event producer.​

Prior to joining ADAPT, he was the editor-in-chief at CIO Australia and associate editor at CSO Australia. He also created and led the well-known CIO50 awards program in Australia and The CIO Show podcast.​

Byron creates valuable insights for our community of senior technology and business professionals that help them reach their organisational and professional goals. He has a passion for uncovering stories about the careers and personal philosophies of Australia’s top technology and digital executives.​

When he is not working, Byron enjoys hot yoga, swimming, running and spending time with his family. He completed the North Face 100km ultra marathon in the NSW Blue Mountains in 2012 and 2013.​

Peter Hind has spent the last 25 years as an analyst and commentator on the ICT industry. ​

His primary areas of interest are the potential of technology to transform the way organisations operate, the change management obstacles executives encounter in realising this potential, as well as the tactics and techniques leaders have deployed to overcome these difficulties.​

Peter now takes on multiple roles within ADAPT including the moderation of private events and roundtables, interviewing business executives about the strategies they are pursuing and assisting with the structuring of delegate surveys.​

He also interrogates and analyses ADAPT’s treasure trove of end-user and C-suite data.​

Samantha is a former CIO with 30+ years in tech, leading digital and IT transformations in organisation such as Tesco, Coles, and L’Oréal. She co-founded “Tech Boosters” to help businesses scale efficiently and founded “Lady Leadership” to empower women in tech through coaching and mentoring.

Patrick is a global IT leader with deep expertise in financial services and regulatory environments. He has led large-scale IT organisations across 45 countries and specialises in designing and delivering digitisation strategies, cloud transformation, and innovation programs. Known for his ability to align technology with regulatory, customer, and business needs – Patrick brings a strategic and pragmatic lens to enterprise IT leadership.

Rosalie is a seasoned technology and finance executive, named one of Australia’s Top 50 CIOs in 2024. She brings a strong track record in delivering operational cost savings and risk-reducing technology programs, particularly in FMCG, through smart, secure, and scalable digital transformation.

Matt Boon is responsible for directing and developing ADAPT’s research content and positions. He interacts with executives daily, bringing together groups of C-suite leaders to discuss and prepare for the challenges and opportunities they face.​

For over 30 years, including 18 in senior leadership roles at Gartner, Matt has been a sought after and highly respected authority on the local and global IT landscape.​

ADAPT hosts numerous industry-leading business and technology events, which Matt chairs, that deliver unique ADAPT research positions, and advises executives across the end-user and technology provider landscape to make informed IT decisions.​

When he is not working, Matt enjoys walking the many trails of the NSW Southern Highlands, travelling and listening to music. He is also partial to a good steak and nice glass of red wine.​

Cameron is a former CIO and transformational leader with over 20 years of experience – delivering large-scale digital programs, including Australia’s largest electronic medical record implementation. His approach combines clinical insight, innovation, and strategic delivery to improve healthcare outcomes and operational excellence.

Simon is one of the world’s most influential AI thought leaders. HE is both an advisor and a hands-on Chief AI Officer. Simon’s work spans business and government across Australia and the globe, focused on ethical AI adoption.

Simon presents on AI to audiences around the world, including recently speaking at the UN in Geneva. As the author of The AI Empowered Customer Experience and host of the AI in 5 podcast, he makes AI accessible and exciting.

David is a former CIO and CISO with over 20 years of global leadership experience across financial services, insurance, and technology risk. His roles at Macquarie Group, HSBC, MetLife Japan, and in advisory positions within fintech and cybersecurity ecosystems have shaped his deep expertise in cyber resilience, digital transformation, IT risk management and value realisation.

Damon is a senior executive and board director with over 20 years experience leading large-scale digital transformation, innovation, and organisational performance across public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He brings a strong focus on customer centricity, digital enablement, and culture, with a proven ability to drive impact in complex environments.

David is a digital strategist and design leader known for delivering innovative, human-centred digital solutions across public and private sectors. With experience at DXC Technology, BCG, and various start-ups, he blends creativity with strategic thinking to drive transformation that is technically feasible, commercially viable, and deeply user-focused.
