Phil Quade is the Chief Information Security Officer of Fortinet, a Silicon Valley-based, cybersecurity company that is #1 in units shipped, and #2 in revenue worldwide. He serves as a strategic consultant to C-Level customers and partners, and is trusted advisor to organizations across the globe. As a strategist and technologist with deep operational experience, he helps enable business/mission, improve security postures, align security strategically with business initiatives, and form coalitions among executives, partners, and technical professionals to solve large problems.
He also leads strategy for Fortinet’s Operational Technology / Critical Infrastructure business practice, is Chairman of the Board for Fortinet Federal Inc., and a member of a large retail business’s Cybersecurity Advisory Board.
He publishes regularly in Forbes and other international news outlets, and is the author of The Digital Big Bang: The Hard Stuff, The Soft Stuff, and the Future of Cybersecurity (Wiley Publishing, 2019).
Formerly with the National Security Agency for 30+ years, Phil was most recently the NSA Director’s Special Assistant for Cyber & Chief of the NSA Cyber Task Force, regularly representing NSA at the White House on national strategy, policy, budget, & operations.
