MATT BOON
Director of Strategic Research


Matt Boon is responsible for directing and developing ADAPT’s research content and positions. In his role at ADAPT he advises C-suite executives across the enterprise and technology provider landscape. Matt is also responsible for bringing together groups of C-Suite leaders to discuss and prepare for the many challenges and opportunities they face.

ADAPT hosts numerous industry leading IT focused events annually. Matt is responsible for hosting, chairing and delivering ADAPT independent content to help attendees make informed IT decisions. Over many years in senior roles at Gartner, Ideas International and other advisory groups he has become a sought after and highly respected authority and speaker on the global IT landscape, always with a focus on what that really means from a differentiated business first and local mindset.

Senior Analyst


After nearly 40 years in IT, Peter Hind’s primary interest is harnessing the potential of IT to transform the way organisations operate and the tactics and techniques CIOs should use to overcome these difficulties. Peter has spent the last 25 years as an analyst and commentator on the IT industry. He was formerly at research company IDC, where he led the INTEP IT management program.

Peter’s forte is running management forums for IT C-Suite executives. He has multiple roles within ADAPT, including the structuring of delegate surveys, interrogation and analysis of ADAPT’s trove of end-user and C-level data, moderation of private events and roundtables and MC for the numerous ADAPT Edge events.

Graeme Philipson brings decades of experience in IT market analysis and IT journalism to ADAPT. His primary responsibilities include the design and analysis of surveys, the writing of reports, and the management of the research process. He pioneered CIO surveys in Australia in the 1980s, building his company Strategic Research into a powerhouse of data analysis before it was acquired by Gartner. The MIS database, which he conceived and built, listed the hardware and software installed in every IT department in Asia Pacific.

He has launched or edited more than a dozen technology magazines, authored books and has spoken at hundreds of conferences around the world, including many keynotes. Graeme is also Australia’s foremost IT industry historian and author of ‘A Vision Splendid: The History of Australian Computing’ the only authoritative work on the subject.
