Peter Barnes

As the Head of IT at Macquarie Telecom, Peter works with a team that puts customers first and helps differentiate the organisation with a customer service approach that makes Macquarie stand out in the market with the best NPS (Net Promoter Score) in Australia.

Having worked in complex, integrated and real time technology environments, Peter is focused on leading people, delivering large scale application and infrastructure programs, and providing customer centric services.

Prior to joining Macquarie Telecom, Peter spent 12 years at Coca Cola Amatil, where he led people, delivered programs, built partnerships and owned commercial and service outcomes, culminating in the role of Head of IT for Australia and Group Head of Solution Delivery.

Working internationally has accelerated his career into a high performing Executive. Peter thrives on the commercial challenge of delivering simple, scalable and reliable technology, whilst putting the customer at the heart of every decision. He can work effectively and collaborate with Executives through to Technology specialists.
