Dave Tropeano

Dave is a Program Director within IBM Cloud Developer Services. Currently he is responsible for the distributed cloud, serverless compute, infrastructure automation, and cloud HPC offerings of IBM Cloud and leads their respective offering management and design activities. In addition, he lead the offering effort to bring IBM Cloud Paks to public IBM Cloud.

Overall, Dave is a Senior technologist with 30+ years experience in multi-tenant cloud architectures, full stack architectures & application development, packaged applications, software engineering process/methods — such as agile delivery with Scrum, SaFE, iterative development and the (Rational) Unified Process — embedded systems, industrial process control, and IoT. He has extensive experience in account management and client relations, technical sales, product development & delivery, management of engineering teams, conference-style and executive presentations, and consulting.

Dave is trusted to develop & deliver executive briefings on offering and business unit strategies & direction as well as “deep dives” in relevant technology areas. He believes in the power of cross-functional teams, iterative development, mentoring, and analytics-driven decision making.
