Before embarking on their cloud journey, Boral struggled with the downtime of ageing infrastructure applications.

Boral’s Former General Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations, Sarath Botlaguduru, made a case for cloud as a means of controlling operational expenditure.

Sarath’s two greatest challenges shifting from data centres into Amazon Web Services’ cloud platform were articulating the value of cloud to the business and individually shifting Boral’s legacy applications.

Speaking with ADAPT’s Principal Research Analyst, Shane Hill, at Connected Cloud and Data Centre Edge, Sarath explained how retaining their technical staff was crucial to their cloud migration.
