Sean Boyle

Sean Boyle is a Corporate Vice President at Amazon and heads executive engagement for Amazon Web Services, or AWS, the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud-computing platform.

At AWS, Boyle is responsible for supporting customer C-suite executives and their boards in the adoption of AWS services. Boyle first joined Amazon in 2006 and prior to his current role, served as Chief Financial Officer of AWS, leading overall strategic planning, finance and various support functions. Boyle has also provided financial leadership for Amazon Global Payments and served as Amazon’s Vice President of Investor Relations. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading Amazon’s relationships with institutional investors, shareholders and analysts, including quarterly earnings communications and annual shareholder meetings.

Previously, Boyle served as the Chief Financial Officer at Apptio, a Seattle-area software company that develops technology business-management applications. He also has held various financial leadership positions at Ford Motor Company from 1994 to 2006.

Boyle earned a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Windsor, Canada. He currently serves as Treasurer on the board of Rainier Prep, a charter school dedicated to transforming educational outcomes for low-income students of color and immigrant students, and as a Trustee of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
