CIO of Australia Post, Munro Farmer stepped into the role in March 2020 after six years with the business in various roles, including Chief Technology Officer and General Manager Technology for the Parcels & Letters business.

Guiding the organisation’s technology response through the COVID-19 pandemic, Munro coordinated the technology approach and expansion to ensure business continuity and worker safety as the crisis unfolded and the network managed unprecedented parcel volumes.

Australia Post is continuing on its digital transformation journey, with Munro driving the key changes of its core platforms.

A specialist in transport and logistics, Munro has a deep understanding of domestic and international delivery networks from working with a range of delivery providers over the last 11 years.
In addition, Munro’s expertise in the consumer goods industry has seen him work in a range of leadership roles in technology and finance within global brands such as Procter & Gamble and Gillette.

Munro is a Chartered Accountant and holds a double major in Accounting and Information Technology.
