Lori Ghezzi

Chief People Officer at Koala


Lori is a passionate and experienced people and culture leader, with over 24 years experience in strategy, talent, technology and culture. She has a penchant for designing and managing complex organisational change as well as scale-ups and posturing small businesses for growth.

Lori joined Koala in January 2022 as their first Chief People Officer with oversight of Koala’s P&C team across Australia, Japan and South Korea.

At Koala, Lori is responsible for defining and establishing Koala’s People & Culture Strategy as well as their DEIB Strategy. She’ll be taking Koala’s disruptive approach to shake up the treehouse, while bringing non-traditional engagement to the rather traditional furniture industry. She’ll be focusing on organisational development, talent & leadership development, employee engagement and cultural change management.

Prior to Koala, Lori has worked with many of the worlds’ most successful companies including Atlassian, Cisco Systems, Dell, FMC Technologies, and National Oilwell Varco.

Lori has not only lived in 14 countries but has also presented and consulted globally to build and grow teams within Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US.

Lori earned her Bachelor of Science Degree, Speech Language Pathology from Western Illinois University and Masters Degree in Adult Education, from Concordia University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, Human Capital Management Advisory Board, New Talent Management Network, and volunteers regularly with local animal rescue organisations.
