Kylie Skeahan

Client Partner, Global Business Services, IBM

Kylie is the GBS Partner for State Government focused on Cloud and Cognitive enterprise transformation. Over the last 20+ years she has helped clients transform, adapt and optimise their enterprises for both their clients and employees using analytics and data-based insights.

During the past 5 years, Kylie has specialized in the Public Sector, with an interest in how we can bring the best of IBM to help transform lives for citizens and businesses in Australia. She has worked with Government clients at both the Federal and State level and understands the unique challenges and rewards of working in this sector.

Kylie believes that you need to put people at the centre of every transformation and augment this with data and the right technology to truly understand what will drive the right change in behaviours and experience to get the value equation right. This is particularly true across the Public Sector as we seek to serve all citizens and make prudent use of precious public funds.

Kylie has worked with many clients throughout her career including financial services, telecommunications and professional services – these all provide a unique perspective that are reflected in the challenges her Government and Public Sector clients face today. She has worked in Australia, across Asia and the United States, where she had a 4-year secondment to IBM’s global HQ in Armonk New York, leading transformation programs for IBM globally.

Prior to joining IBM, Kylie did her articles of clerkship for Clayton Utz in Brisbane specializing in IT Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland in 1998.

Outside of work, she is passionate about photography, in particular landscape photography from her travels (back when this was possible) and enjoys the balance yoga, swimming and walking provides and supports diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work and life.
