Karl Vogel

As the Symantec Solutions Engineering Manager for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, Karl Vogel is charged with leading a highly technical team across the APJ region that is responsible for addressing the technical challenges and complex business needs of customers and spearheading the technical capabilities of Symantec’s solution portfolio.
With more than 20 years of international consulting and leadership experience in security, Karl works closely with customers to achieve real outcomes for their organization and focuses on sharing best practices, knowledge, and his extensive experience, derived from his active involvement with business, personal research and market analysis, with customers in this region.

Prior to joining Broadcom, Karl was Symantec’s Worldwide Solution Architect and joined Symantec through the BlueCoat acquisition in 2017 as a Technical Director for Advanced Threat Defense in the APAC region. Karl has also held leadership and technical roles at Solera Networks, F5 Networks, Fortinet Technologies and Commander Pty Ltd.

Karl has also previously held the position of a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Information Security Association.
