Jerome Labat

Jerome Labat is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Micro Focus, a pure play enterprise software company with a breadth of solutions covering Enterprise DevOps; Hybrid IT Management; Security, Risk & Governance and Predictive Analytics. These solutions help customers run and transform their business, accelerating their digital transformation and innovation agenda while lowering risk and providing actionable insights.

In the role of CTO, Jerome is responsible for setting the technology agenda for the business and driving consistency in product and solution development across the portfolio, building enterprise software for DevOps transformations, cloud-first strategies, enterprise security and machine learning & AI solutions.

As the CTO of the company, Jerome’s responsibilities are distributed across key strategic initiatives including:

Accountability for creating and delivering the product portfolio technology and solutions strategy. In order to better support this mission, Jerome is the executive sponsor to major customers across multiple industries around the world, as well as supporting key global services providers and cloud services providers, to deliver customer centric innovation;

Driving Micro Focus’s own digital transformation initiative by deploying Micro Focus technologies and solutions alongside scaled agile methodologies and modern engineering technologies to help accelerate product releases cycles from years to months. Containerization is the key technology behind the digitalization vision for Micro Focus products;

Jerome’s team also runs product IT that delivers the Micro Focus SaaS and engineering services. Driving a fundamental transformation from a project driven IT organizatin to a modern “service” delivery team.  Prior to joining Micro Focus, Jerome was the CTO for HPE Software and led the cloud automation business. He was responsible for the modernization of the software portfolio assets, Go-To-Market strategy and the deployment of a global software factory in support of HP’s software engineering Scaled Agile transformation. Jerome also held multiple leadership and engineering roles at Oracle.

Jerome earned an MBA in international business administration from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion and a DEUG in economics from Université Paris X Nanterre, France. Jerome is based in San Francisco, California.
