James Woodward

James is currently General Manager, Enterprise Operations at Kiwibank, where he has been involved in the delivery of many successful programmes and projects. Within Enterprise Operations over the past 3.5 years, he has significantly shifted the culture and performance with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement, Process Excellence, Risk, Change Leadership, and People Development. Prior to this role, James was Head of Transformation Strategy & Business Architecture at Kiwibank for 2 years, preceded by 3.5 years as Head of Transactional Banking.

James has a broad and deep understanding of banking operations, lending processes, payments, and bank compliance having worked at ANZ National Bank as Business Development Manager, Corporate & Institutional Banking as well as a Director at Payments NZ Ltd.

With a career in banking built over 20 years, James brings significant experience delivering complex projects as a Business Owner, Sponsor, and Subject Matter Expert, and has been involved in the development of the CoreMod business case and Operations SME as well as a Senior Leader in the KB 2.0 Operating Model design and change.
