Doug Robinson

Managing Partner, Global Business Services at IBM ANZ


Doug leads our Australia and New Zealand Global Business Services business unit focusing on Cloud and Cognitive Enterprise transformation build and run for our clients. These client’s range across a number of key industries including Federal and State Government, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Energy and Utilities, Retail and Consumer Products, Travel and Transport, Mining and Petroleum.

Doug leads a large team of services professionals that specialize in multiple disciplines including Digital and User Experience, Cognitive Process Re-engineering, Cognitive Analytics and Data, IOT, Cognitive Process Services and Platforms, Cloud Advisory, Cloud Build and Move, Cloud Manage, Salesforce and SAP platforms.

Prior to his current role, Doug was a Vice President of IBM Asia Pacific, responsible for the Distribution and Industrial industries. He has also held roles including Managing Director responsible for Air Canada, AIMIA and Greater Toronto Airport Authority accounts for IBM based in Montreal, whilst also having extensive experience leading major accounts in Australia including BHP and Qantas and running our Travel & Transportation Consulting business.

Doug is an industry thought leader in cloud, cognitive, analytics and mobile business solutions, and is passionate about connecting industry understanding with future technologies to drive industry transformations. He uses his expertise in agile and human centered design to reinvent the way work is done and how it is scaled for maximum impact.

Prior to joining IBM, Doug was the Asia Pacific Director of Supply Chain for Circle International based out of Singapore. Doug has an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkley; a Masters in Transportation Management from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, Sydney.
