David Brudenell

David leads the Global Solutions and Advanced Research divisions at Appen, the world’s largest Artificial Intelligence data provider (ASX: APX).

As Vice President, David works with many of the most accomplished and deeply knowledgeable solution architects, engineers, project managers, technical and AI specialists in the machine learning and artificial intelligence industries. These teams work at the frontier of artificial intelligence and machine learning for Appen’s largest global customers. We partner with them on experiment architecture, POC and pilot design, analytics, and global scaling across all specialist domains.

In addition, the team partners with engineering and product for new internal solution and technology design, and is the lead for POC, financial modelling, go-to-market, testing and internal release management

Prior to joining Appen, David was Managing Director for the Consumer segment at Eclipx (ASX: ECX), an automotive and diversified financial services company. Before this, he was Chief Digital Officer and Head of Product for Universum (NYC/Sweden) where he led the digital transformation of this business globally. David has also held senior positions as Executive Vice President at pureprofile (ASX: PPL). While there he led pureprofile’s global sales, business operations, strategic partnerships, and alliances.

David is also the co-founder of C2 Investments, a venture capital firm specializing in seed stage companies. To-date C2 has made investments in market research technology, online retailers and greentech companies.

David holds an honours degree in Biology and Zoology from the University of Western Ontario and participated at the University of King’s College Foundations Year Program. He also has an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Sydney Business School.
