Brian Adams

I am Executive General Manager of the Building Products group of companies and the BGC Group CIO and CPO. BGC Group is comprised of 16 entities and is one of Australia’s largest and most diverse privately-owned companies. BGC was recently recognised for outstanding business performance in Deloitte Australia’s 2021 Best Managed Companies awards.

Over the course of my career, I have been fortunate to have fulfilled global leadership roles with some of the world’s leading companies including BMW, Caterpillar, Ernst & Young, Worley and BGC.

I have experience across a wide range of industries, including oil & gas, resources, engineering, manufacturing, professional services, automotive, finance, and construction. I am very comfortable leading global teams and have battle-hardened, in-country knowledge and experience across Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

The roles and industries I have worked within have given me the ability to lead at an enterprise level, with discipline and pace. My key strengths lie in leadership, strategy, financial and commercial management, and technology. I pride myself on my ability to support and manage culturally diverse teams, having lived and worked in seven countries.
