The distributed workforce has created new visibility into the challenges, the risks, and the threats to trust that were already there.

According to ADAPT’s 2022 data, 53% of the workforce will be working from home on any given day.

At ADAPT’s Security Edge event, ServiceNow’s CISO, Ben de Bont shares how leaders can only be prepared for the risks of the expanding attack surface by uplifting employees’ awareness of security.

When measuring the success of security initiatives, the metrics Ben tracks are process efficiencies and automation to embed security within workflows.

Ben says the best way to communicate the necessity of security initiatives to the board is to provide urgency and context. For example, it should be the CEO’s decision whether to pay a ransom to a threat actor or not.

Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson, merging leaders from across non-profit, military, public, and private sector fields to facilitate solutions to the nation’s most pressing issues.

Ben holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, his thesis in cryptography and encryption. Ben was named 2018 Queensland University of Technology Alumnus of the Year for Science and Engineering.

From 1997-2000 Ben served in the Australian Army.
