At ADAPT’s Security Edge, Transgrid’s Chief Security Officer, Andrew Webster, is a firm believer that building a secure-by-design architecture can enable more efficient decision-making and automate secure operations.

At Transgrid, Andrew adopts the NIST framework to identify, protect, detect, respond to threats. However, the initial step of identifying must be trained in all levels of the organisation.

To uplift security awareness, Andrew recommends tailoring training to be relevant roles, leveraging multifactor authentication for home devices, using three words for passwords, applying government cyber security information, and to simply, “Think before you click.”
