Prioritising technology and maximising its value within an organisation are challenging tasks.

Educating stakeholders and an organisation about longer-term benefits requires ranking what is crucial now, considering competing interests, and working with limited budgets.

Creating digital value means delivering digital solutions on a regular basis in order to address a wide range of related but separate business needs.

Cadence determines value. Digital fitness and the way systems are executed is not just about the systems that are needed, but also having a finely engineered approach.

In this panel discussion, Peter Weill Chairman and Senior Research Scientist at MIT CISR, guides the discussion to address how digital value can be articulated and how to prioritise technology when there is infinite demand.

Key Takeaways:

  • Maximise operators’ returns by identifying those parts of the value chain that can be uplifted.
  • Build agility into everything you do. Pivot, when necessary, based on architectural considerations. Consider sustainability in the long term, from people to technology and products. Invest in technology and capabilities that are inclusive, including artificial intelligence, to ensure the organisation is future-proof.
  • Create a data \architecture and thread the data through your systems so that different parts of the organisation have access to the data they need in real-time.
