Kent Ramchand

With over three decades of experience in IT, Kent specialises in IT strategy, cloud computing, AI, enterprise, and application architecture.

At Kyndryl, Kent leads advisory consulting engagements in cloud computing, strategy, service integration, and SkyTap. He has a passion for cloud technologies, DevOps, networking, big data, analytics, applications, and IoT, and enjoys helping customers understand how these technologies can support their business plans to transform their business to be an outperforming enterprise.

Kent is a co-author of a patent in Service Oriented Architecture and has published six papers on Cloud Platform Decision Frameworks using artificial intelligence to enhance the confidence level in automated decision-making when incomplete requirements are available.

Before joining Kyndryl, Kent was the Cloud CTO at Telstra Enterprise, where he architected multi-cloud PaaS offerings including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure and launched services such as SAP as a Service and Splunk as a Service and Recognition as a Service. He also spent nearly 16 years at IBM Global Business Services, leading a team of architects responsible for pre-sales, consulting, and delivery engagements.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science from Swinburne University and has recently completed his PhD in Information and Communication Technology, focusing on Distributed Artificial Intelligence Systems on Cloud Architectural Decision Frameworks.
