David Barnett

David has been with WEL since April 2019 and holds the position of Chief Financial Officer overseeing Finance, Procurement, Treasury, Insurance, and the Distribution Centre. David is also on the Advisory Committee for the NewPower Group of Companies, comprising of:

NewPower Energy Limited, who own and operate our Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems.

Infratec New Zealand Limited, who design and build Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems for both ourselves and third parties

David has a background in finance, risk management, markets, advisory and supply chain across a range of industries and companies including Nestle, Transpower, Vector, Westpac and ANZ Bank.

David is the Executive Sponsor for the SAP Upgrade project at WEL.
