AI's cost is central but volatile; its value distributed and deferred. The metrics and operating models finance trusts no longer hold. CFO Edge equips finance leaders to lead AI economics and modernise the function - reframing cost as value, rebuilding the metrics and platforms that prove it, and redesigning the operating model to own it.
ADAPT’s 17th CFO Edge, gathering financial leaders responsible for over ¼ of Australia's GDP. Australia’s only event focused on the CFO’s role in both financial and digital transformation for future growth. Register Your Interest

Debating Critical Themes

01

From Cost to Value: Attribution & the Point of Impact

Leave with a sharper frame for what AI is actually worth. Separate cost, benefit and value, and measure outcomes where they land - not on the invoice. Solve the attribution problem: spend sits in the central P&L while benefit surfaces across the shadow functions.

02

Rethinking the Metrics: Cost per Interaction & When ROI Breaks

Benchmark cost per interaction beyond licences and headcount and protect against token shocks as workflows scale. Understand why non-deterministic behaviour breaks old ROI maths - and who’s accountable for benefit when outcomes aren’t fixed.

03

Where AI Economics Sits & Who Owns It

Leave with a clearer operating model for AI economics. Debate where AIOps and MLOps sit, and whether the function reports to technology or finance. Align with your CIO as a single economic unit on decision rights, governance, and the data readiness it all depends on.

04

AI Inside Finance

Take away a practical view of AI in your own function. See how finance teams are scaling AI across FP&A, reporting and reconciliation - and the risk, control and governance guardrails that move you from cautious experiments to genuine operational advantage.

05

Modernising Finance: From Legacy ERP to Real-Time Platforms

Hear how leaders are upgrading legacy ERP, automating workflows, and building the integrated platforms and real-time data that move finance from backward-looking reporting to forward-looking influence - without losing financial discipline and control.

06

The Evolving CFO: Digital Fluency & the Finance Team of the Future

Leave with a capability plan for yourself and your team. As the CFO mandate expands into enterprise strategy and technology, build the digital, analytical and AI fluency finance now demands - and the agile team structures that keep pace with continuous change.
