David Walker was appointed Westpac Group’s Chief Technology Officer in August 2019. Since then, he is leading Westpac through its technology transformation – simplifying and merging the bank, building 4th gen cloud-native applications, establishing and operating evergreen platforms, leading Westpac’s AI technology, and building a culture of passionate and forward-thinking tech and emerging talent.    

David began his technology career in 1987 as a software engineer, focusing on coding complex systems. After a decade of evolving his software engineering craft, David founded a data science consulting. Over the following decade, it became the number one expert data insights company in Australia and Southeast Asia.  

For the last 15 years, David has held executive roles in large, complex organisations across the APAC region. Prior to joining Westpac, David was part of the leadership team of Singaporean bank, DBS. In his ten years there, David helped transform DBS from a traditional bricks and mortar bank with little brand presence or recognition outside Singapore, to being recognised as the ‘Best Bank in the World’ and the ‘Best Digital Bank in the World’ by leading global financial publication Euromoney.  

Proven experience in information technology, modernising and optimising digital delivery to underpin both the customer and employee experience. She has considerable experience helping organisations move forward with a strategic plan that gives them the digital tools they need to help leapfrog the roadblocks and pitfalls that can hold them back.

As Chief Digital Officer of the Australian Digital Health Agency, Peter is responsible for stewarding the national digital health ecosystem, products and standards. Peter represents Australia and is the Vice Chair of the Global Digital Health Partnership, Co-Chair of the GDHP Evidence & Evaluation Workstream and is the Australian Delegate to the SNOMED International General Assembly.

Peter has been a Chief Information/Digital Officer in the healthcare portfolio in the public service since 2009 and has held senior roles with the National Health & Medical Research Council, the National Blood Authority and ACT Health. Peter was named as Technology Leader of the Year 2024 by itnews.

A Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health, a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders, a Fellow of the Future Government Institute, a Senior Member & Certified Professional of the Australian Computer Society and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Peter is never bored and is always up to something.

Damien Carey is Chief Digital Officer for Customer Success and Oracle University at Oracle, bringing over 25 years of global leadership experience across digital transformation, education, and enterprise technology.

He has led large-scale initiatives focused on building digital capability, workforce readiness, and customer success at scale, working with organisations to accelerate adoption and maximise value from technology investments. Based in Australia with extensive international experience, Damien has a strong track record of aligning strategy, skills, and execution to deliver measurable outcomes.

His background spans senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific and global markets, with deep expertise in digital enablement, organisational transformation, and developing future-ready workforces.

Charles McHardie leads the largest technology group in the Australian government. Charles oversees the technical and digital infrastructure that delivers government services and support to millions of Australians.

In his role as CIDO Charles is responsible for driving digital and technology transformation within Services Australia and delivering whole-of-government transformation programs. He oversees significant investment in programs for Centrelink, Medicare, Child Support and myGov, and has led the delivery of major transformation programs such as Enhanced myGov. Charles led the delivery of technology and business solutions that positioned the Australian government to be able to respond rapidly to the global pandemic.

Neville Pinto is a Strategic Security Advisor for ANZ at Cisco / Splunk, where he works with government and enterprise customers and leaders to strengthen resilience and navigate the realities of modernising / scaling security safely across complex, mission-critical environments on the age of AI.

With over 25 years’ experience I tech across public sector, healthcare, critical infrastructure, telco and retail, Neville has led large-scale transformation programmes spanning cybersecurity, cloud, and digital operations, often in environments where system failure is visible, public, and consequential.

His perspective is shaped by both senior advisory, operational and transformation leadership roles, helping organisations navigate the realities of modernisation under pressure while maintaining control, resilience, and trust.

Neville’s work on AI, security, and digital transformation has been referenced in industry forums and incorporated into academic programmes, reflecting the growing relevance of these challenges across both enterprise and education.

Dennis Remmer is Rimini Street’s Senior Director for Global Service Delivery in the Asia/Pacific region. He leads a team of elite engineers based in Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and India that deliver worlds-best support across Rimini Street’s Oracle, VMware, IBM, and other product lines. He has over 30 years experience in the development, architecture, and support of enterprise IT, and is a specialist in Oracle middleware, integration, and Cloud PaaS. Dennis is an alumnus of Oracle’s Ace Director program, as is recognised by the Australian Oracle User Group as an Oracle Master and also served as National President of that group. In his spare time he runs a Brisbane-based record label.

Shan Moorthy is the Chief Technology Officer for APAC at Workday. Shan has led technology and data functions as a senior IT executive, CTO and CDO with grand success in key enterprises across ANZ and APAC, achieving digital revolutions within the media, retail, banking, and telecommunications industries by retiring sprawling, monolithic ERP, HCM, CRM, and data systems and replacing them with modern, cloud platforms. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Shan loves combining deep technical knowledge of Software Engineering, Data and AI, with business strategy and commercial acumen. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family and is a mechanic, tinkerer, and hacker on classic cars, home automation, hydroponics, and other electronics which are in a constant state of iterative improvement.

A seasoned IT and cybersecurity leader with a strong track record serving both government agencies and commercial organisations, Andrew has served as Federal Manager at CBR Cyber (a Brennan Company) since April 2025, collaborating closely with public sector clients to develop and deliver tailored cyber and IT services. Andrew’s deep expertise in network engineering, systems architecture, and vendor management coupled with his proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into robust solutions makes him a go-to partner for organisations seeking secure, scalable IT outcomes with precision and excellence.

Dave is the founder and Managing Director of Brennan, responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the company. His passion for business and deep understanding of the needs and issues they face, have been instrumental in the success of Brennan, which is today recognised as one of the fastest growing technology businesses in Australia.

Joy Marrocco is the Group Owner for Employee AI Experience at Telstra, where she leads the strategy, governance, and scaled adoption of AI‑powered productivity across one of Australia’s largest and most complex enterprises. In this role, Joy is the Product Owner for Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, accountable for embedding AI safely, responsibly, and meaningfully into the everyday work of tens of thousands of employees.

Joy sits at the intersection of employee experience, product delivery, and responsible AI, translating emerging Microsoft capabilities into real‑world impact for frontline teams, corporate functions, and senior leaders. She works closely with Microsoft, security, privacy, and data leaders to ensure Copilot and Copilot Studio are deployed with strong governance, clear value articulation, and measurable productivity outcomes.

With deep experience across enterprise platforms, AI enablement, and change at scale, Joy focuses on building an AI‑literate workforce—where tools like Copilot are not just available, but trusted, understood, and embedded into how work gets done. Her portfolio spans product ownership, adoption strategy, compliance alignment, and executive engagement, ensuring AI accelerates both employee capability and business performance.

Joy is a passionate advocate for responsible, human‑centred AI, and partners with Microsoft to shape how Copilot evolves in large, regulated environments—balancing innovation with security, privacy, and employee trust.

As Industry Principal for Global Public Sector at Snowflake, Dan brings extensive experience supporting government organisations in leveraging data to drive better policy, service delivery, and citizen outcomes.

Based in Canberra, he works closely with public sector leaders to navigate complex data, technology, and transformation challenges, with a strong focus on governance, risk, and delivering measurable value. His background spans senior leadership, consulting, and advisory roles, including experience as a government CIO, giving him a deep understanding of the operational and strategic pressures facing agencies today.

Dan combines technical expertise with a strong grasp of public sector priorities, helping organisations unlock the value of data while maintaining trust, compliance, and accountability.

David Allott is a seasoned cybersecurity leader with over 25 years of experience in technology and security roles across the Asia Pacific region. As the APJ Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Veeam Software, he advises CISOs and CxOs on cybersecurity risk management and data resiliency, highlighting Veeam’s capabilities in safeguarding businesses against cyber threats and operational disruptions. As a passionate advocate for cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors, David has a deep understanding of regional threat landscapes, regulatory challenges, and industry best practices. He is a sought-after speaker at security conferences and frequently appears in media to provide expert insights on major cyber incidents and emerging trends.

Before joining Veeam, David served as the ASEAN CISO at DXC Technology and led the APJ Cyber Defense business at Orange Business Services. He has also held senior leadership roles at McAfee and Symantec, where he played a pivotal role in shaping cybersecurity strategies for organisations across the region.

Rodman Ramezanian is a cybersecurity leader specialising in supporting Federal Government and Defence organisations as they modernise and secure cloud environments. He works closely with agencies to identify and manage risk, strengthen visibility, and enable the secure adoption of cloud technologies across critical systems.

An ASD-endorsed IRAP Assessor, Rodman brings deep expertise in cloud security, governance, compliance, and risk management, helping organisations build resilience and assurance in increasingly complex environments.Known for translating complex technical concepts into practical executive insights, Rodman regularly leads cybersecurity workshops and executive discussions across the region, helping senior leaders navigate cloud security maturity, safe AI adoption, and evolving cyber risk with confidence.

At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Alan looks after CISR’s Research and Engagement for the Asia Pacific region. Previously, he held senior digital executive roles and managed digital strategy teams where he built and ran successful consulting businesses for Accenture and PwC. He was the Head of Digital Strategy for the Turnbull government of Australia. 

With more than two decades’ experience across Defence, national security and complex ICT environments, Leighton brings deep expertise in mission-critical operations and high-security services. He guides strategy, investment and delivery for Defence and Federal Government customers, aligning technology outcomes with national priorities. His leadership spans senior ICT roles with the Department of Defence, Victoria Police and Melbourne Water. Earlier, he served 11 years in the Australian Army, including deployments where he received a Meritorious Service Citation for actions in East Timor.

Rafi Katanasho, Dynatrace’s APAC Chief Technical Officer and VP of Solution Sales, is responsible for working with users and prospective customers to identify and communicate IT best practice. Within this role, he leads Dynatrace APAC solution and sales engineering organisation to drive strategic new business opportunities for the Dynatrace Digital Performance Platform, the industry’s leading platform for delivering user and application insights to accelerate digital success.

Based in Sydney Australia, Rafi joined Dynatrace in 2007 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry focusing on Business, Application and IT Service Management. His experience includes a number of Australian based technology startup innovators. Prior to joining Dynatrace, he held senior management at Proxima Technology, a technology startup that pioneered the area of Business Service Management. He is a recognised thought leader and has published many articles, white papers and is a regular industry keynote speaker and commentator in IT and business publications.

Nathan is the Strategy & Transformation executive for Telstra’s Product & Technology division which includes Software Engineering, Asset Management and Data & Artificial Intelligence. He also sits on the board of muru-d, Telstra’s startup incubation portfolio. Prior to his current role, he’s had several other executive positions at Telstra spanning Digital Media, Sports and Streaming, Wholesale and Retail Energy and Fixed broadband with notable products including
Telstra TV, AFL and NRL Live Pass and world-first partnerships with Xbox.

Nathan is based out of Canberra, given its perfect proximity to Australia’s snowy-mountains and the NSW south coast. He’s served in the NSW Rural Fire Service as a volunteer firefighter for over 10 years, supporting the community through some of Australia’s most significant natural disasters.

Murray leads Kinetic IT’s advisory, consulting and digital transformation capabilities. He oversees professional services and solution design, helping organisations solve complex technology challenges and modernise critical digital environments. A former Australian Army Major General, Murray brings deep expertise in ICT operations, cyber security, complex program delivery and strategic leadership. His career across Defence, government and the private sector reflects a long-standing commitment to national service and delivering large-scale, mission-critical technology outcomes.

Gabby’s primary role is managing ADAPT’s overall strategy for Data Analytics. He has extensive experience in using data to identify trends in technology that help shape Australian organisations. Utilising modern Data Science techniques, he provides ADAPT and their customers with confidence in the accuracy and validity of the information used for ADAPT’s Research, Advisory, and Events.​

With a passion for creating stories with data, Gabby is consistently rated as one of the top speakers at ADAPT Events. In round table discussions, he specialises in using statistics to initiate thought-provoking discussions. Gabby is effective in translating information into insights, enabling ADAPT’s customers to become more data-driven.​

Peter Hind has spent the last 25 years as an analyst and commentator on the ICT industry. He says his primary areas of interest are the potential of technology to transform the way organisations operate, the change management obstacles executives encounter in realising this potential and the tactics and techniques leaders have deployed to overcome these difficulties.

Peter now takes on multiple roles within ADAPT including the moderation of private events and roundtables, interviewing business executives about the strategies they are pursuing and assisting with the structuring of our delegate surveys and the interrogation and analysis of ADAPT’s treasure trove of end-user and C-level data

As Director of Strategic Research at ADAPT Matt Boon, is responsible for directing and developing ADAPTs research content and positions. In his role at ADAPT Boon advises C-Suite executives across the end-user and technology provider landscape. Boon is also responsible for bringing together groups of C-Suite leaders to discuss and prepare for the myriad of challenges and opportunities they face.
